Perks and Rec: Our favorite Kindle is on sale

As a book lover, perhaps the best investment I made last year was finally investing in a Kindle. For years, I resisted the concept of e-readers, but after an incident involving a paperback novel and a rather large cannonball, I grabbed the Kindle Paperwhite. 

The Paperwhite is the best Kindle we've tried. It’s easy to use, it has a great display and it’s waterproof, making it perfect to bring anywhere, but especially to the beach this summer. It’s on sale for over 20% off today and makes a great gift for the bookworm in your life (even if that bookworm is y-o-u). 

If you’re shopping for someone that already has a Kindle, grab them a quality book light, our favorite noise-canceling headphones, a notebook to track their reads or a massive blanket to curl up with a good book under. Also, I’d be remiss if I didn’t mention this wonderfully ridiculous Kindle hack: using a Kindle holder with a remote page turner makes for an exceptional, hands-free reading experience.
