Teamsters union declines to endorse in 2024 election 

President Joe Biden vowed to be the most union president in history. But his appointed successor for the 2024 election, Kamala Harris, isn't being backed by a top union, the International Brotherhood of Teamsters. The group on Wednesday declined to throw support behind Harris or former President Donald Trump. Read more.

  • It marks the first time the Teamsters have skipped an endorsement in a presidential election since 1996.
  • The Teamsters, which has 1.3 million members, represents a cross-section of American workers – like truck drivers, freight workers, and public defenders.
  • Teamsters leaders met with Harris on Monday, and the leader’s previously met with Trump in January.
