How Gen Z’s blue-collar bloc could shape the 2024 election

There’s an untapped group of voters that could help impact the election: blue-collar, Gen Z workers. That voting bloc, who are opting for vocational programs or trade schools over costly four-year colleges, isn’t very politically engaged. While some experts say that group could make a difference in the election, it’s going to be a tough sell for the presidential candidates, Democrat Kamala Harris and Republican Donald Trump to win them over. Senate report blasts Secret Service for lapses in Trump assassination attempt

A new Senate report published Wednesday found the Secret Service had no plan for security coverage of the building where a gunman perched to shoot former President Donald Trump during a campaign rally in Pennsylvania in July. The report said the “failures” in planning and security "were foreseeable, preventable, and directly related to the events resulting in the assassination attempt." Read more.
