Imports surge ahead of tariffs

The U.S. continued a historic surge in foreign imports in February, ahead of sweeping new tariffs announced by President Donald Trump.

U.S. imports exceeded $290 billion in February 2025, making a 21% jump from February 2024 and setting the highest February total ever recorded, according to a Paste BN analysis of U.S. Census trade data about goods imported for consumption.

Battle brews over how to list homes

A battle over how homeowners list their properties for sale is shaking up the housing industry, with big implications for sellers and buyers.

On April 10, the massive real estate company Zillow announced it would not accept any listings that have been previously offered for sale in a selective manner, a direct response to a step from an industry group that many observers felt limited choice in the marketplace.
