Never say 'NEVER': A look back at Dan Snyder's bold claim regarding Washington's mascot
Change coming to the NFL?
In 2013, Washington Redskins owner Dan Snyder told us he would NEVER ("you can use caps") change the team's name.
Seven years later, momentum has shifted in a big way. In a statement, following pressure put on them by some key sponsors, Washington said it "will undergo a thorough review of the team’s name."
It's time for Snyder to do the right thing, our Mike Jones writes. But what should the new name be (should a change finally be made)?
If you were wondering, why, yes, President Trump did offer his opinion on the matter.
Trump takes on Bubba Wallace
Speaking of wading into conversations no one asked him to be a part of, President Trump also fired off a tweet in reference to the Bubba Wallace NASCAR incident, and asked if the driver had issued an apology yet for the "hoax."
Michelle Martinelli is here to explain, line-by-line, everything wrong with Trump's tweet. Later, Wallace responded with a powerful statement.
Why we love sports
The return of team sports is seemingly on the horizon, and in anticipation, we've been thinking about what it is about sports that made us fall in love with them in the first place.
For our Mark Medina, Reggie Miller's legendary eight points in 9 seconds created an indelible memory.
Our Steve Gardner remembers watching a "Monday Night Football" game with his father. After his bedtime! On a school night!
