Jerry Jones says Cowboys have 'zero chance' at Super Bowl run without Jason Garrett
It's Week 13, and the Buffalo Bills are for real, folks. But before we dive in, enjoy these:
- Jerry Jones isn't going to make a coaching change (yet).
- The Saints are the first team to clinch a playoff berth.
- The NFL's pass interference replay system might need some more work.
- The Week 13 picks are in! Who wins the 49ers-Ravens showdown?
- As always, we're here to help you set that fantasy football lineup.
Now for a closer look at the action:
Week 13's best and brightest
About Thanksgiving Day's action ...
- Bears 24, Lions 10 -- Undrafted rookie David Blough played as well as could be expected for Detroit. However, in the end, the Lions Lions'd (again), blowing a 10-point lead to lose their fifth straight game (and eight of their last nine).
- Bills 26, Cowboys 15 -- Following this dismal loss at home to the Bills, Cowboys owner Jerry Jones was surprisingly reflective and backed his embattled head coach. Some Cowboys players, however, were rather intense in the postgame locker room.
- Saints 26, Falcons 18 -- Taysom Hill was a one-man wrecking crew as the Saints became the first team to secure a postseason berth.
Quick look at Week 13:
- Game of the Week: San Francisco 49ers at Baltimore Ravens -- In a potential Super Bowl LIV preview -- heck, Earl Thomas seems confident Baltimore will be there -- San Francisco will have to find a way to slow down Lamar Jackson.
- Playoff Picture Game of the Week: Minnesota Vikings at Seattle Seahawks -- Sure, neither team is leading its respective division at the moment, but this Monday night clash will profoundly impact how the NFC playoff seeds shake out come January.
- Grudge Match Game of the Week: Cleveland Browns at Pittsburgh Steelers -- The main combatants from the ugly brawl two weeks ago won't be present -- Myles Garrett and Maurkice Pouncey are suspended; Devlin "Duck" Hodges is starting in Mason Rudolph's place -- but bad feelings remain in the aftermath of an incident still fresh in players' minds.
- Dud of the Week: New York Jets at Cincinnati Bengals -- Three weeks ago, it appeared this matchup might decide which team was picking No. 1 in the draft. However, the Jets are one of the hottest teams in the league. The Bengals, meanwhile, have had enough of the Ryan Finley experiment and have gone back to Andy Dalton at quarterback.
