Myron Rolle, once a standout safety at Florida State and a draft choice of the Tennessee Titans in the 2010 NFL draft, is now a third-year neurosurgery resident with a life that is typical of doctors across the country during this time of crisis fighting the novel coronavirus.
"The numbers are staggering," Rolle said as the staff at Massachusetts General Hospital is facing the same shortages of protective equipment found across the country.
Rolle, who skipped his senior season with the Seminoles to attend Oxford as part of his Rhodes Scholarship, was drafted by the Tennessee Titans and gave the NFL a shot for three seasons before retiring to attend medical school.
Yet despite the pandemic that has shut down most of the sports world, the NFL continues to plow forward with its offseason schedule. Even the NFL draft is still on, although not from Las Vegas as intended. But you know what that means: MOCK DRAFTS!
