Russell Wilson heats up NFL's hot stove. The Seahawks wouldn't really trade their franchise QB, would they?

Russell Wilson is the greatest quarterback in Seattle Seahawks history.

He's helped direct the team to two Super Bowls, winning the franchise's lone Lombardi Trophy in Super Bowl XLVIII.

He's also the team's all-time passing yardage leader.

It would seem ill-advised to explore dealing away a player who has meant to much to the team.

However, there appears to be a growing rift between Wilson and the Seahawks, and Wilson's camp has even discussed potential trade scenarios. According to a report, via Wilson's agent, the quarterback's short list of possible landing spots includes the Chicago Bears, Dallas Cowboys, Las Vegas Raiders and New Orleans Saints (New Orleans' mayor even made a pitch to Wilson and his wife Ciara).

Even in an offseason expected to feature numerous quarterback changes, this would be a stunner.

Where does Seattle go from here?

Paste BN Sports' Mike Jones writes that the Seahawks would be smart to let Russ cook and invite him to have input on the shopping list.
