Chiefs win OT thriller. Patriots-Colts on Saturday night. Plus, all the NFL Week 15 essentials you need.
It's Week 15 ... and we think the Chargers might have gambled one too many times on fourth-and-short Thursday night. Before we dig even deeper, enjoy these:
- Which teams will emerge victorious in Week 15? Our experts make their picks.
- Urban Meyer is out, and Jaguars players are more "focused." They're also favored.
- Due to a COVID outbreak, the Browns are down to their third-string quarterback.
- Are you fortunate enough to be in the fantasy playoffs? We're here to help you win.
About last night: Kansas City Chiefs 34, Los Angeles Chargers 28 (OT) - The Chiefs' seventh consecutive victory was a thriller, with Patrick Mahomes and Travis Kelce connecting for the game-winning touchdown in overtime of a wild game at SoFi Stadium.
Game of the week: New England Patriots at Indianapolis Colts - It isn't the heyday of this rivalry, when it featured Tom Brady vs. Peyton Manning, but this is a juicy matchup with heavy AFC playoff implications. In order to maintain the conference's top playoff seed, the Patriots will need to slow down the NFL's leading rusher, Jonathan Taylor.
Sneaky-good game of the week: Cincinnati Bengals at Denver Broncos - The two teams enter with identical 7-6 records. The Bengals are in the thick of a wild AFC North division title chase. The Broncos currently exist on the fringes of the AFC playoff picture. The game is vitally important for both, with a loss possibly crushing postseason hopes.
