Everything we know about Dwayne Haskins' death; current and former teammates react to tragedy
Pittsburgh Steelers quarterback Dwayne Haskins was killed early Saturday morning after he was hit by a dump truck near Fort Lauderdale, Florida.
Haskins, who would have turned 25 on May 3, was trying to cross an interstate on foot in Broward County when he was struck, according to the Florida Highway Patrol.
He was pronounced dead at the scene.
The tragic death of the former Ohio State Buckeyes star spawned an outpouring of reaction from current and former teammates. Former Ohio State head coach Urban Meyer, whom Haskins played under during his only season as Buckeyes starting quarterback, was "heartbroken" after hearing about Haskins.
