NFL schedule release: Unofficial league holiday reveals when biggest matchups of season will be played


The NFL's big day of setting dates and times to matchups we already knew were going to happen has come and gone, and now football fans can set up their fall calendars accordingly.

The 2022 season will kick off with quite the showdown: The defending Super Bowl champion Los Angeles Rams hosting Super Bowl favorite Buffalo Bills at SoFi Stadium on Sept. 8. Capping Week 1 will be Russell Wilson's return to Seattle after the blockbuster offseason trade sent the Super Bowl-winning quarterback to the Denver Broncos.
