49ers clinch NFC West on TNF. Plus, NFL Week 15 predictions, playoff clinching scenarios, fantasy advice.
Welcome to Week 15, which features a Saturday filled with pro football action. Happy holidays, sports fans 🎄!
About last night: San Francisco 49ers 21, Seahawks 13 -- The 49ers continue to win behind QB3 Brock Purdy, offensive playmakers Christian McCaffrey and George Kittle, and the league's top-rated defense. This victory clinched the NFC West crown for San Francisco.

Game of the week: Cincinnati Bengals at Tampa Bay Buccaneers -- With veterans Tom Brady and Aaron Rodgers struggling to recapture their old form, and youngsters such as Joe Burrow, Josh Allen and Justin Herbert thriving, there appears to be a changing of the guard - so to speak - at the quarterback position this season. Burrow could hammer this point further home if he and the Bengals add further misery for the mediocre Buccaneers.
Sneaky-good game of the week: Detroit Lions at New York Jets -- The suddenly super-fun Lions - the new unofficial "Team of 4th & Monday" - are on a second-half kick and in a sprint toward the postseason. What once was a lackluster 1-6 outfit is now a 6-7 juggernaut. The Jets (7-6) also are on the playoff bubble, and need a strong finish to snap an 11-year playoff drought.

NFL news, notes and analysis
- Which NFL rookie would you steal for your roster? If you were an NFL general manager or coach and could steal a 2022 rookie for your roster, who would it be? One team did well in the last draft.
- Playoff picture: On Thursday night, the 49ers became the second team to secure a postseason berth.
- Roughing the passer or not? With so many questionable calls, momentum is building to add roughing the passer to NFL replay menu.
- 'Get ready to play our best game': All eyes are on quarterback Daniel Jones ahead of the Giants' huge showdown against the Commanders.
- Dan Campbell showing he may be the one to save the Lions: Campbell kept saying they were one play away. As the last month or so has shown, he was probably right. But is it for good?
- Athlete or fashion icon? When it comes to style, NFL players may rarely come to mind, but Joe Burrow's wardrobe is on another level 🤵.
- How Chargers can make the playoffs: Justin Herbert and the Chargers are a team nobody would want to face in the postseason.
- This week on "As the Cheesehead Turns": Aaron Rodgers credited using the plant-based psychedelic ayahuasca for his MVP play in 2020 and 2021. The emergence of rookie receivers has put Allen Lazard's future in Green Bay in doubt. Stay tuned for next week, as the Packers face Baker Mayfield and the Rams on Monday night at frigid Lambeau Field ☃.
