Which teams won the 2023 NFL offseason?

The weeks and months since the Kansas City Chiefs won Super Bowl 57 have reinforced the fact that there is no status quo in the NFL.

With free agency and the draft as opportunities to revamp rosters, Paste BN Sports' Michael Middlehurst-Schwartz identified a handful of teams that impressively bolstered their rosters and upgraded their chances for success during the 2023 season.

Baltimore Ravens: This team proved that free agency and the draft aren't the only avenues for offseason progress.

Carolina Panthers: After swinging big in order to get Bryce Young with the No. 1 overall draft pick, the Panthers hope to put an end to a recent revolving door of half measures at the quarterback position1.

Chicago Bears: GM Ryan Poles used a massive war chest of salary cap space to bring on fresh talent.

Miami Dolphins: Acquiring CB Jalen Ramsey in a division with prolific passers such as Josh Allen and Aaron Rodgers makes Miami a contender based on its defense alone.

New York Jets: There's a championship precedent set by Tom Brady and Matthew Stafford that the Jets hope to follow with Aaron Rodgers now at QB1.

1 The Panthers' recent run of half measures at quarterback did include a former No. 1 overall pick (Baker Mayfield), a former No. 3 overall pick (Sam Darnold) and another first-rounder (Teddy Bridgewater).

2 The Bears might now be eyeing Naperville - a suburb nearly 40 miles to the west of Soldier Field - as a possible destination. Naperville is the fourth most-populous city in Illinois, and also is home to North Central College, the defending Division III national football champion.
