Top 50 prospect rankings: Our NFL draft big board

There are just 10 more sleeps until the 89th NFL Annual Player Selection Meeting in Detroit. How's your draft big board coming along?

Paste BN Sports' Michael Middlehurst-Schwartz has poured through the game tapes of this year's class and has ranked the top 50 prospects in the 2024 NFL draft.

  1. Caleb Williams, QB, USC: Williams is one of the most heavily anticipated draft prospects in some time.
  2. Marvin Harrison Jr., WR, Ohio State: Somehow will have to live up to the expectations he'll inherit from his Hall of Fame father.
  3. Rome Odunze, WR, Washington: Odunze said at the NFL scouting combine that he views all 50/50 balls as "100/0" in his favor.
  4. Malik Nabers, WR, LSU: Merely getting into the orbit of past LSU receiving greats should be considered a success.
  5. Drake Maye, QB, North Carolina: Dazzling at his best, unpalatable at his worst, Maye leaves a perplexing picture of a quarterback.
  6. Brock Bowers, TE, Georgia: NFL's spotty history of evaluating tight ends might leave some uneasy about using a premium pick on Bowers.
  7. Jayden Daniels, QB, LSU: 2023 Heisman Trophy winner has taken an enormous leap after breakout season.
  8. Joe Alt, OT, Notre Dame: Leader of the pack in a deep offensive tackle class.
  9. Quinyon Mitchell, CB, Toledo: Mitchell has a preternatural sense for finding the ball in the air.
  10. Terrion Arnold, CB, Alabama: Arnold sizes up as the rare figure who can be trusted in almost any matchup.

Mock draft: Embracing chaos

How about a mock draft that has 13 projected trades? Sounds crazy, right? But, that's where Paste BN Sports' Nate Davis went with his latest first-round mock.

'Tis the season for NFL draft subterfuge!

He can't be serious, can he?

Even though Tom Brady said last year he is retired "for good," he isn't completely shutting the door on a possible NFL return.

"I'm not opposed to it," Brady said of possibly coming out of retirement. "I don't know if they're gonna let me if I become an owner of an NFL team. I don't know, I'm always gonna be in good shape, always be able to throw the ball."

Brady would turn 47 years old by kickoff of the 2024 NFL season.
