Winners and losers from NFL preseason Week 2
The second week of NFL preseason action is in the books, and there are plenty of highlights (and lowlights) to break down.
➤ Caleb Williams and the Chicago Bears offense went full throttle after a shaky start, a performance that included a jaw-dropping 45-yard completion to rookie receiver Rome Odunze. This play will be fun to see get the NFL Films treatment on tomorrow night's "Hard Knocks."
➤ New York Giants QB Daniel Jones' much-anticipated return was … not great! He had two interceptions – including a horrendous pick-six – against the Houston Texans.
➤ Kansas City Chiefs QB Patrick Mahomes was up to old tricks, including a behind-the-back pass and connecting for a long gain with speedy rookie receiver Xavier Worthy.
➤ Tua Tagovailoa looked sharp in limited on-field game action and had team owner Stephen Ross gushing that the Miami Dolphins are "certainly a contender for the Super Bowl."
➤ A pick-six against the Dallas Cowboys probably sealed Aidan O'Connell's place on the Las Vegas Raiders' depth chart.
