It's becoming very clear what the Titans intend to do with No. 1 draft pick

The much-ballyhooed Colorado pro day took place on Friday. It was the biggest pre-draft event to take place since the NFL scouting combine more than a month ago.

Two players who have been projected to go in the top five of the 2025 NFL draft were on the field in Boulder, Colorado. (How often is it that Colorado is a go-to destination on the pro day tour?)

Cornerback/wide receiver Travis Hunter — the 2024 Heisman Trophy winner — and quarterback Shedeur Sanders — son of Pro Football Hall of Famer and current Buffaloes head coach Deion Sanders — were the star attractions. In his latest mock draft, Paste BN Sports' Nate Davis has Sanders and Hunter projected to go No. 2 and 3 overall.

The Tennessee Titans own the No. 1 overall pick, and they had a contingent of folks in Boulder for Friday's big pro day. As Paste BN Sports' Jarrett Bell writes, what happened after Colorado's pro day seems to indicate the Titans' plans with the top pick and if Tennessee deviates from that, well that would be a real stunner.

The Titans canceled a private workout with Sanders. The absence of a follow-up private workout with Sanders could be interpreted as another sign that the team is leaning toward Miami quarterback Cam Ward, who the Titans already had a private session with after Miami's pro day.

Why Abdul Carter could be biggest star of 2025 draft: It's not that people have forgotten about Penn State's defensive star. No way. But in the end, he might be the best player in this year's draft class.

NFL news, notes and analysis

Want to develop a NFL quarterback? You may want a young QB coach (or 2) for that. The league has a number of talented young quarterbacks like Washington's Jayden Daniels. Teams are turning to young assistants to coach them.

Why video of Lions star six months after breaking leg is so stunning: About six months ago, Aidan Hutchinson shattered his leg. It was a brutal moment. Hutchinson since then has been steadily rehabbing. A video was posted last week showing Hutchinson's progress and it was impressive.

Falcons owner is willing to let Kirk Cousins sit: Conventional wisdom, it was suggested to Arthur Blank, would be to clear the deck for Michael Penix, Jr. The Falcons owner already thinks the deck is cleared for the second-year quarterback, even with a 14-year veteran on the roster.

What you might have missed from the NFL's annual meeting: Kickoff and overtime rule changes weren't the only developments from the NFL's annual meeting last week.

Joe Milton III traded to Cowboys: Less than a year after the New England Patriots selected Milton in the sixth round of the 2024 NFL draft, the team dealt him to Dallas.

This is where we reprise some NFL lore and recall classic, memorable moments from yesteryear.

Miss football? Yup, samesies! Does the UFL not quite satisfy that urge to consume all things gridiron? Totally get it!

Well, lucky for you the NFL posted a video filled with 10 hours worth of highlights. It's the ultimate time waster while at the office (not that we're encouraging such behavior!). Or, maybe you have it on in the background while doing some household choring. Either way, here is an extremely small sampling of some of the plays you have to look forward to …

  • 58 minutes in, see Calvin Johnson get a face full of snow after a long reception.
  • 2 hours and 17 minutes in, watch Barry Sanders befuddle the Vikings.
  • 4 hours and 15 minutes in, watch Steve Atwater level the "Nigerian Nightmare," Christian Okoye.
  • 4 hours and 40 minutes in, watch Darrell Green show off his tremendous speed and run down Tony Dorsett.
  • 5 hours and 38 minutes in, watch Deion Sanders get a pick-six in his 1994 return to Atlanta (complete with 50 or so yards of high-stepping!).
  • Just under 7 hours in, watch Steve Gleason's dramatic blocked punt against the Falcons in the Saints' first game at the Superdome following Hurricane Katrina.
  • 7 hours and 57 minutes in, watch Vinny Testaverde's touchdown pass to offensive tackle Jumbo Elliott during the "Monday Night Miracle."
  • 8 hours and 12 minutes in, watch Don Beebe chase down Leon Lett in Super Bowl XXVII.
  • 9 hours and 5 minutes in, watch Kevin Dyson complete the "Music City Miracle" against the Bills.
