Coronavirus Watch: Country can't reopen by May 1, Surgeon General says
Both Dr. Anthony Fauci and Surgeon General Jerome Adams cautioned Friday that the country won't be reopening as soon as some have hoped.
Here's what they said:
- Fauci, director of the National Institute of Allergy and Infectious Diseases, told CNN he would "want to see a clear indication" that the U.S. is "very clearly and strongly going in the right direction" before reopening the country.
- Adams told Fox News that "most of the country" won't be able to reopen by May 1.
