Spain, one of the countries hit hardest by coronavirus, reported encouraging news Monday, while protests continued across the U.S., sustaining worries of an uptick in cases.

- For the first time since March, Spain reported no new coronavirus deaths in a 24-hour period. The development is “very, very encouraging,” emergency health response chief Fernando Simón said. He also said Spain recorded only 71 new COVID-19 infections over the past 24 hours.
- Protests continue in the wake of George Floyd's death, and some health officials are worried it could lead to an increase in coronavirus cases.
- A sweeping national survey has exposed a staggering ethnic divide as Latinos are hit hard by the virus. Hispanic households are reporting COVID-19 symptoms nearly a third more than others, a Paste BN analysis found.
