Coronavirus Watch: European nations pause AstraZeneca vaccine as US reviews for authorization
Germany is among the latest European countries to suspend use of the AstraZeneca COVID-19 vaccine, even as a U.S. official said the vaccine could win FDA authorization next month.
The German Health Ministry said the decision was taken as a “precaution” after new reports surfaced of blood clots in some recipients, though the issue is under investigation and AstraZeneca has said there is no cause for concern.
