Your inbox just got a whole lot happier

Welcome to the debut edition of the Humankind newsletter! Every Friday, we'll send some of the world's most positive and heartwarming news stories directly to your inbox.

We'll feature human triumphs πŸ™Œ, military reunions, adorable kids, cute animals 🐢, and more. We're all about kindness, inspiration, and happy tears. If it raises your spirits or makes you feel better about the world, you'll find it here in our newsletter.

Who am I? Well, my name is Terry Baddoo. I'm an experienced news journalist who is now solely focusing on highlighting the most uplifting aspects of our wonderful world. I was born and raised in the U.K., but I'm now a bona fide American citizen who's embraced Uncle Sam's innate positivity.

Of course, good news means different things to different people, so let us know what kind of stories you'd most like us to feature by emailing us, and we'll scan the globe 🧐 to get more of what you want.

Now, onto what you came here for, good news! Here are my three favorite positive news stories from this week:

First, we've got a mailbox mystery πŸ“« where little dolls randomly appeared in a residential mailbox, sparking a joyous whodunnit that you have to see to believe.

Next, surprise military homecomings are among our favorite feel good stories. So, when Greg Preston, a Chinook helicopter pilot in the U.S. Army, surprised multiple family members with an unexpected return from active duty in Afghanistan, we knew we had to share the moment with you. πŸ‡ΊπŸ‡Έ

Lastly, tomorrow is Earth Day 🌎, so check out our young friend Lilly Platt who has been waging (the cutest) war on litter for more than half her life.

Scroll down to see even more feel-good moments that I think you'll love.

Until next time. Enjoy!
