Kindness is most welcome when you least expect it 🤗

Hi, welcome to the weekend! I’m Terry Baddoo, writer, producer, and your kindness correspondent, here to showcase the best of the best 🏆 when it comes to good news. Each week, our kindness team scours the globe for positive and heartwarming tales guaranteed to brighten up your inbox. 💌

The great thing about good news is there’s something for everyone. For example, one of my favorites this week is a poignant tale that spans two continents. 🌎 Now, just imagine you’re living your best life in San Francisco, but there’s a part of you that’s missing – your true past! Well, that’s the situation in which Scott Lieberman found himself. You see, he was illegally adopted, but through DNA testing, he eventually found he had a sister and extended family in Chile. So, at 42 years old, he made the trip to South America for a life-changing reunion with the family he didn’t know he had.

We spoke to Scott from his sister’s home, where he planned to spend several weeks, hoping to unravel the mystery of how his adoption came about.

Scott’s story had several twists and turns, but another of my favorites was much simpler. It involves a heartwarming tale from Austin, Texas, where a crowd of pool-goers spontaneously came together to encourage a young boy to jump off the diving board for the first time. 💦
