After 28 years in a cage, this chimp is finally seeing the sky 🐒

I’m your kindness correspondent, Terry Baddoo, inviting you to start the holiday weekend right 🇺🇸 by clicking on this week’s selection of good news stories.👍 The outstanding video of the week is the heartwarming tale of a chimpanzee called Vanilla. 🐒 The 28-year-old chimp had spent her entire life enclosed in small to medium-sized cages, 😢 first at a research laboratory, and then at a now-defunct animal sanctuary. But finally, she got her first taste of real freedom and the open skies 🌤 when she was rehoused, along with 226 other chimps, in the wild expanse of an island sanctuary in Florida.🏝
