OnPolitics: Insurrection. Impeachment. Inauguration. It's been a week.

We did it, OnPolitics readers. We made it through a second (!) impeachment. It'd be nice if we, the people, could all sit back and relax now. That won't happen anytime soon.

President-elect Joe Biden will be inaugurated at noon ET on Jan. 20, becoming the 46th president of the United States. The Presidential Inaugural Committee announced Wednesday which stars have been tapped to appear during the pandemic-adapted festivities. (Spoiler: At least one star is bringing sexy back.) 

Then we wait for House Speaker Nancy Pelosi to send the article of impeachment to the Senate. Oh – and everyone in Washington, D.C. is on high alert because of the Capitol riots. No big deal.

• Rep. Peter Meijer, one of 10 Republicans who voted to impeach President Donald Trump, said he is buying body armor due to fear of violence.
