Let's see what Carli Pierson has to say about her college debt
So, you might have heard by now that President Joe Biden has announced up to $20,000 in federal student loan debt forgiveness and an extension on forbearance for payments until December, among other plans for borrowers. If you're one of about 42 million people who still owe money on their student loans, you are probably at least a little happy with that news.
I owe a lot more than $10,000 for my law degree, but I am still happy with the announcement. After years of hearing about possible student loan forgiveness, anything is better than nothing.
I will admit that I owe a lot more than most people because all my debt is from law school. But I don't think that I should be made to feel guilty for wanting to continue my education. For the same reasons, I don't think that higher education, or grad school, should be for the already affluent. That is absolutely antithetical to the American dream of being able to create one's own destiny, in spite of one's family circumstances.
Critics say that this policy will only benefit the rich, but I also disagree with that. If you had to take out loans to get an education, you probably aren't rich.

- Stop complaining about FBI's Trump search and pay attention to Georgia. That's the crime.

First, let me catch you up on the quiet-quitting concept. It took off last month on TikTok after user Zaid Khan posted a video explaining the term and noting: “You're not outright quitting your job, but you're quitting the idea of going above and beyond.” Read more...
