Paste BN Opinion newsletter: The dysfunction of this election
Today feels like the most Monday that has ever Mondayed, but here we are, and we must continue forward. So let's talk about where things stand in the 2024 election, shall we?
On the chance that you're one of the lucky ones who has managed to avoid all of the political noise, we'll go ahead and catch you up on things. President Joe Biden is asking America for four more years in the White House and Donald Trump is asking us to put him back in charge after we sent him packing in 2020. Yes, we know some of you probably think he didn't lose the election but we don't have time to get into that right now. Just play along, please.
But where do their campaigns stand now that the primaries are all but over? Good question. Columnist Chris Brennan attempted to answer that every question over the weekend by comparing the Republicans and Democrats to families dealing with their own brand of dysfunction.
- Biden must win back 2020 voters. Trump only cares about MAGA. Let the election begin.
- Bonus election column: I'm a Republican who voted for Trump – twice. This changed my mind.
