The best TVs and home theater products of 2019
September is here, which means fall is right around the corner! It’s the perfect time of year to embrace the return of Sunday night football and the newest lineup of TV shows. And why not take this as an opportunity to upgrade your viewing experience?
At Reviewed, we test products and find the best ones for you, so with some personal insight mixed with expert knowledge, we put together the ultimate home theater guide. Below are some of the top TVs, soundbars and streaming devices that we love and recommend.
Every year, TV manufacturers add new bells and whistles that promise the latest and greatest in picture quality. But the basics of a good TV remain the same: bright whites, inky blacks, accurate colors, smooth motion, and high resolution. If you want to get the best TV we've ever tested, check out the LG C9 (about $2,497).
For a more budget-friendly option, consider the TCL 4 Series (about $268) which has 4K resolution, HDR10 compatibility, the Roku remote, and 60 Hz refresh rates. Not bad specs for the price.
Soundbars are often the simplest, easiest way to drastically improve your home audio. Starting at $199, the Razer Leviathan boasts a uniquely tailored design and manages to save space while still delivering 60 total watts of output. We love the sturdy design, intuitive interface, and audio quality as well.
Samsung's HW-J355 (about $149) crams a 120-watt, 2.1-channel speaker system into a sleek soundbar/subwoofer combo at a slightly lower price point than the competition. It also offers Bluetooth support, multiple sound customization modes, and functionality with Samsung's "Audio Remote" app.
A streaming device is essential for anyone who regularly watches services like Netflix or Hulu. And after spending hundreds of hours testing every streaming device we can get our hands on, we’re confident the Roku Ultra (about $105) is the best option on the market. It supports just about every TV setup you can ask for, and truly shines with any new TV that offers 4K and High Dynamic Range (HDR).
Another option is the Roku Streaming Stick+ (about $49), which is the best value of all of the streaming devices we tested. Though streaming sticks have typically been lower-end offerings compared to the full-size streaming boxes, that wasn’t the case here. In our tests it was nearly as fast as the full-size Roku Ultra.
