Donald Trump's presidency will usher in a host of new federal policies. Meanwhile, new state laws took effect on Jan. 1 on everything from restrictions on what eggs can be sold to penalties for those convicted in large-scale, smash-and-grab robberies. Babies born in 2025 and for the 14 years following will make up the newest generation: Generation Beta. Gen Beta will experience AI and automation in every aspect of life, from school to work to health care and entertainment, says Australian social research group McCrindle.
