#tellusatoday: A bipartisan path on immigration?
We asked on Twitter how the GOP and the Democrats could come together on the DREAM Act or other immigration policy. Comments are edited for clarity and grammar:
It has been bipartisan in the recent past. Only since the advent of the Tea Party and then the hijacking of the party has it become partisan.

There can be bipartisanship if the law states that even after the person meets all current requirements, he can still be deported after committing a felony and serving time.
-- @jonnyg137
The only way would be for Republicans to agree with the Democrats' plan. Republicans obviously have no clue what this is all about.

No chain immigration, or family sponorship to get immigrants into this country, under a bipartisan plan. The age for the DREAM Act should be lowered to 25 instead of 35. After they attend school, they should pay a fine and then wait in line for legal status.
