#tellusatoday: How to get non-voters to the polls?
In 2012, voter turnout fell to 57.5%. A recent Paste BN/Ipsos poll of non-voters revealed that 28% of respondents said being able to vote on the Internet would help. We asked our followers on Twitter what else could bring them back? Comments also are from Facebook:
People fought for centuries for the right to vote, and non-voters are concerned about their comfort, how easy it is to do? They don't deserve to vote.
— David Blazer
Americans didn't vote because they didn't see a sharp distinction between President Obama and an opponent with a similar record.
— @MaggioMatt
Obviously people don't realize that there are more than two presidential candidates. I didn't vote for either of the two, but I still voted. It is terrible that the other candidates don't have the money to make their views known to the American people.
— Eric Koelsch
Show them the third-party candidates. The candidates this year were too similar foreign policy-wise.
— @JediJoe727
Today, we have early voting, mail-in voting, Election Day voting and absentee voting. Anyone who can't vote in today's world is incompetent or lazy.
— Daniel Hamilton
If the bad economy couldn't bring out the voters, nothing will.

There is little excuse for people who have the right to vote and choose not to vote.
It shows a blatant and glaring lack of personal responsibility and proper priorities.
— James Oerichbauer
The news media focused heavily on just a handful of battleground states leading up to the election. Reduced turnout?
