#tellusatoday: What do you think about gun limits?
We asked our followers on Twitter what they thought of "gun-free zones" and an assault weapons ban. Comments are edited for clarity and grammar:
Gun-free zones apply only to law-abiding citizens. Crazies and criminals will ignore them. They have little value.

There should be a ban on assault weapons. I have not heard any reasonable argument for a valid need of this weapon.
— @mpolack
No assault weapons ban either. It is a feel good "solution" that has no basis in logic.
— @Merlin0088
Put harder regulations in place for illegal use/ownership. It's wrong to punish so many for so few.
— @Jake__Springer
How many children must die before adults give up these massacre-creating machines? How many disturbed young males are still out there?
— @Moonlitechirp
I'd rather see armed security guards in every school, not just in the most troubled ones. Gun control has never worked.
— @GRFnewyork
There is no good reason for a private citizen to own an assault weapon.
