Backlash over Beyoncé's anthem: Your Say
Comments from Facebook:
It's not really clear whether Beyoncé lip-synced when she sang the national anthem at President Obama's inauguration.
So what if she did? It's still her voice. She would have had to sing it to pre-record it.

The reason it matters is the stars are asked to sing at these venues. Performers should sing or decline.
We make excuses for everything and everyone these days. Expectations are set so low that someone mouthing words at an outdoor event is no big deal.

Who cares? She still has one of the most beautiful voices on the planet, whether she recorded the anthem for Inauguration Day or sang it live.
Surely, it truly doesn't make one bit of difference. Go Beyoncé! Shake off those haters!

Letter to the editor:
Plain and simple, lip-syncing is cheating, just as too many others do nowadays. Considering the occasion, Beyoncé lip-syncing the national anthem would be inexcusable.
If we're that frightened of possible errors, why not have President Obama lip-sync the oath of office, too?
