Too many regulations could kill football: #tellusatoday
We asked our followers on Twitter whether the NFL should do more to prevent concussions. Comments are edited for clarity and grammar:
Football is a collision sport. You can't regulate the violent nature of it. The sport needs better technology.

If the NFL regulates hits too much, the games become too sanitized and not as fun to watch. Fans will turn from the sport.
— @HarperAmyStabler
Absolutely the NFL should regulate hits more, but the whole physical aspect of the game would have to change.

Anyone strapping on the cleats and helmets knows the risks. Can we stop trying to emasculate everything in this country?
— @mc3h2
Back in the day, a hit was being wrapped up and driven to the ground. Nowadays, it's a take-out, literally.
— @C_harlieD
The American football philosophy is always more protective equipment, never improving tackling skill.
— @MagpiesView
Not to be insensitive, but it is the risk players chose to take for fame and fortune.
