Give Obama leeway in selecting Cabinet: #tellusatoday
We asked on Twitter how much leeway President Obama should be given in selecting his Cabinet. Comment are edited for clarity and grammar:
This is Obama's administration after all. It's already a big step that he has chosen a Republican as secretary of Defense. This never happens.

I want the vetting process to be open and honest on all sides, not just a badgering of the person up for position by war-hawk heretics.
— @KountyKobbler
Obama rushed his decision. There are more qualified personnel out there. Chuck Hagel, really ?
— @Sbbny1718
I don't think he should get appointed. My main objection is that he changed nearly all his views while being questioned.
— @BaatzJane
Obama should be given all reasonable leeway like other presidents. I admire Hagel. I deplore what he is being subjected to.
— @SandyTomich
Finally someone who can think, not a mainstream follower. Good for the USA.
— @pijaz
How can Hagel be so clueless and Democrats say he can have the job? My son and many others' lives depend on this.
