Should Boy Scouts have leeway? #tellusatoday
We asked our followers whether the Boy Scouts of America should allow gay Scout leaders. Comments are edited for clarity and grammar:
I think it's a bad idea. They should scrap the whole plan altogether and let the Boy Scouts stay the way it is.

Being gay does not mean someone is a pedophile. Let dedicated Scouts serve.
— @UnhappyMariner
The Boy Scouts of America can do anything it wants because it's a private club.
— @webberwit
They might be Boy Scouts but not of America, which stands for fairness and rights for all, not some.
— @conpoli
In due time, gay Scouts can and will become gay leaders, so what's the point? But more important, what's the difference?
— @KiloTerrell

— @gmacked
Doesn't this change just perpetuate a bad message, perhaps even a we-can-convert mentality?
