FLORIDA - Matt Reed: Good to wait, debate on Syria

A Washington Post-ABC News poll found that 70 percent of Americans object to arming Syrian rebels, 59 percent oppose a U.S. missile strike, and 51 percent object even to acting with allies such as Britain and France. To them, American "exceptionalism" appears to mean we're big enough, smart enough and heavily armed enough to take a few days to think things through. A century of sacrifice has earned us that time.
