Racial bias in voter ID laws? #tellusatoday
We asked our Twitter followers what they thought of the Justice Department suing North Carolina for "racially discriminatory" voter ID law. Comments from Twitter are edited for clarity and grammar:
How is making someone have proper identification racial discrimination? Get an ID or don't vote. It's pretty simple.

Good! The laws are discriminatory and will restrict voting among eligible voters to further a particular political agenda.
— @youngdems
Democrats don't care about voting rights, really. They just want it to be easy for illegal immigrants to vote.
— @CGreer1940
If you can't get your act together to have a valid ID, why should you be trusted to elect leaders?
— @T_Prehn
An ID is required on many purchases or activities. Why should it be any different when voting? Racism is a scapegoat.

The Justice Department needs to sue North Carolina. Gov. Pat McCrory thinks he can run wild with this state!
— @JeffreyTweets
The Department of Justice needs to stop harassing the states.
