Should Toronto Mayor Rob Ford stay or go? #tellusatoday
We asked followers if Toronto Mayor Rob Ford, who admitted to smoking crack during a "drunken stupor," should step down. Comments from Twitter are edited for clarity and grammar:
If U.S. politicos who acted stupidly stepped down, the halls of Congress would be almost empty.
— @rob17bob
Rob Ford probably shouldn't have been elected in the first place, but he's indicative of the type person who can be elected if he or she spends enough!

Kick him out. For some things in life, you only get one chance. This mayor blew it.
— @Jdanson1
I like Ford's honesty. I just wish he could get honest and surrender to his problem with alcohol.
— @rattman422
He is another politician only owning up when evidence is indisputable. Liars need to go!
— @hbwx
So what if he smoked crack a couple of times? What about daily excessive alcohol consumption?
— @Bud_R_Fly
Why are people surprised? He is a politician.

Letter to the editor:
Honesty is always the best policy, especially when you've been caught in the act, as was Toronto Mayor Rob Ford. A video showed him smoking crack cocaine.
Ford's denying the allegations when the video initially surfaced in May only made him look like a liar. His admission that he had smoked crack cocaine during a drunken stupor leads me to believe that the man may have a substance abuse problem.
While we can score one for Ford's fessing up, he could take a tip from Kenny Rogers. "You got to know when to hold 'em, know when to fold 'em." Yes indeed, it's time to resign.
