Some praise, others question Obamacare fix: #tellusatoday
We asked our followers on Twitter what they thought about President Obama's fix for Obamacare. Comments are edited for clarity and grammar:
The president was brilliant. Now insurance companies and Republicans will have to defend and explain junk insurance policies and vote against a Democratic fix.
— @realflickchick
Either the president lied, or he is ignorant. Obamacare detractors have been warning the public for years!
— @jwodell11
What he did was a distraction with a built-in deflection. The better question is, "Do you believe him?"
— @tridentjohn
Rarely do you see a president emphatically take responsibility as Obama did during his news conference: "That's on me."
— @mhenderson33
It's the same Obama with different words. Blame it on others. And instead of fixing it, just push it past the next election.
— @tab91787
His fix is great. Even Social Security, Medicare and civil rights took time to correct.
— @sparta776
When the website is up and running, many of those people whining will pick a plan through the market anyway.
