Contraception mandate intrudes on religion? #tellusatoday
We asked our Twitter followers what they thought of the Obamacare requirement that employers offer free birth control coverage. Comments are edited for clarity and grammar:
It's religious intrusion. Christians should not be forced to condone what is against their beliefs.
— @giselleaguiar
Religious groups must stand strong and fight back. The government does not have the right to trample our beliefs.
— @stonewall900
The mandate is a deliberate attack on religion, much like gay "marriage."
— @MaxCUA
Employers don't own your health care choices, even if they subsidize them. Health coverage is your perk, not theirs.
— @loadedorygun
The mandate intrudes on religion. But not everyone takes birth control pills to prevent pregnancy. The issue is not so cut and dried.
— @KYSweetPeony
Birth control is available in many places. Preserve religious separation. I don't see birth control in the Bill of Rights.
— @Hplage44
I wonder where in the Constitution it says the president has the right to order me to pay for someone's birth control.
