Apple gets mixed reviews: Your Say

Facebook comments edited for clarity and grammar:

With the overhype of Apple's iPhone 6, iPhone 6 Plus (which has a larger screen) and Apple Watch, I've made a few observations. Apple is finally catching up to Android phones. But the company's strategy should be questioned. Techies have been sucked in by Apple's marketing machine. Many people buy Apple products because they think it makes them cool and sophisticated. (Think Starbucks vs. Dunkin' Donuts.) They don't have a clue about digital technology. I also don't think the digital watch will catch on. It will serve a niche market, and will not make any appreciable money.

Having to admit that the big screen was a good idea after dissing it for so long will be embarrassing for many Apple users.

The market dictates change, and now that more and more tasks are being performed on a smartphone, the time was right for Apple to increase screen sizes. I guarantee Apple will sell plane-loads more large-screen iPhones than any competitor. Why? It's all about the quality.

A bigger screen means more zombies looking at their phones and "socializing" online with their friends. The iPhone 5s is big enough, and I for one will never get a bigger phone.

People should stop worrying about Apple's research and development budget. Outspending Apple on research and development enabled Microsoft to build the bloated monstrosity that is Windows 8. Enough said.

Apple just unveiled its first wearable device, the "smartwatch." It combines a watch and smartphone, and will be priced as low as $349 when released next year. I think this is the biggest unveiling in the company's history and is a significant moment in this post-Steve Jobs era. It will force a further decline in regular watch sales.
