Punchlines: Tired of government waste?

Complaints about the government wasting money on $100 hammers and $600 toilet seats have become almost cliche. The tally of recent congressional spending, at least according to Sen. Tom Coburn's "Wastebook" (the fifth and final annual report from the Oklahoma Republican on costly congressional decision making), is much more alarming.

So, how were your tax dollars put to work? The late-night comics were most alarmed by the more than $300,000 spent on massages for bunny rabbits (well in fairness one comic called it "adorable"). There was also the $856,000 spent watching pumas walk on treadmills. Find out what else the government did last year in one comic's game "expenditure or stoner."
