Ferguson decision, riots: Second look
Overcome racism
The decision not to indict Ferguson police officer Darren Wilson for the death of Michael Brown has sparked protests all around the country. I don't know exactly what happened on Aug. 9. The only living person who knows what happened is Wilson. Wilson claims that Brown charged him and that is what led to Brown's death. If this is true, the biggest question that I have is: Why wasn't Wilson equipped with a non-lethal weapon in addition to his gun?
America is supposed to be the country where all men and women are created equal. Why can't we work together? If the shooting was racially motivated, I can honestly say that I am disgusted.
Since when is it OK to hate another human being for the color of his skin? It's the 21st century. Why can't America get past racism?

Unhelpful violence
Even though some were disappointed in the grand jury's decision regarding the deadly shooting of Michael Brown, I can't help but wonder what kind of mentality we are dealing with when people loot the stores of innocent business owners and set fire to buildings. Due to inconsistencies, we may never know what really happened.
Still, two wrongs never make a right, and violence never solves violence. Discrepancies must be dealt with according to the law and peacefully.
