Ready for Mitt Romney rerun? Your Say

Letter to the editor:

If Mitt Romney really cared about this country, then he would throw his support and his money to another Republican candidate. He has had his chances.

If I had a great racehorse, but it lost at the Kentucky Derby and the Preakness Stakes, then I wouldn't spend my time or my money racing it in another high-stakes race again. I would run a new colt.

This country voted for President Obama because he had some life and boldness. Am I the only Republican crying out for some excitement and spark?

The Democrats will probably elect our first woman president, while the Republicans end up scratching their heads and asking, "What happened?" I say wake up now! Give us something to talk about and vote for!

If Mitt Romney decided to run for president, that would be the best news ever! Intelligent, patriotic and a true scholar with degrees in law and business, he has worked in business and truly understands the art of leadership.

I would be proud to cast my vote for him again.

Romney and Jeb Bush will see the White House as honored guests, and deservedly so. But our next president must represent our future, not our past. That eliminates virtually all current contenders from either major party. Who can step up to the plate?

I like Romney, but he hasn't a chance of a successful run. I doubt he would make it through the primary. You had your chance, Mr. Romney, stay home.

Romney is the gift that keeps on giving — to the Democrats.
