Punchlines: Stephanopoulos steps out (of debate)

After former top White House aide George Stephanopoulos spent 18 years as a news anchor for ABC, the thing that many feared would happen, has happened.

He's shown how his past political ties to the campaign and administration of former president Bill Clinton may pose a conflict when it comes to his ability to be an objective journalist. He fessed up Friday to donating $75,000 to the Clinton Foundation, and apologized for not disclosing it sooner. He also stepped down from moderating February's GOP presidential debate. But according to Jimmy Fallon, with 36 potential candidates, those debates should be moderated boxing ring style anyway.

And what else is happening in the world of politics? Find out from Fallon and Saturday Night Live's Colin Jost in today's Punchlines.
