College grads, immigration: Your Say
Second look: New views on top talkers

Great expectations
A statement in Paste BN's article, "More college grads are getting better jobs," really opened my eyes to one aspect of the generational divide.
Lindsey Farmer, a 2012 college grad, expresses her dismay with her situation saying, "I thought I'd have a house by now and would be taking amazing vacations." Three years out of college, and she thinks she should be a homeowner and world traveler? I don't know anyone in my 1969 graduating class who felt entitled to such instant gratification.

Immigration
It is disturbing that so many people are missing the value of President Obama's plan to give a path toward citizenship to some undocumented immigrants ("Greenlight plan to stop some deportations? #tellusatoday").
Resources to deport these people, many of whom came here for a better life for their families and who want to work hard, would be better used to find and deport criminals. The value of legalizing these undocumented immigrants means they would be working and driving legally, and paying taxes. Legalize these folks, and it is win-win for all. Give them pride in our country, the ability to work and live without fear, and incentives for their children to go to college. This would make our country stronger.
