Apparently nothing is safe online, and that’s especially worrisome if you’re cheating on your spouse. Some people learned that lesson the hard way after Ashley Madison, a dating website targeting married people, confirmed Monday that it had been hacked.

The company’s owner acted quickly to remove personally identifiable information about its users posted online, but that didn’t stop the late-night comics from poking fun at the site and its slogan: “Life is short.
