Movie theater security, vegans: Second look
Letters to the editor:
Movie theater security
Paste BN correspondent Trevor Hughes writes well in his column “Voices: A night at the movies has gone from fun to fitful,” until his last paragraph where he frames a false question: sheep or wolf?
For some, at least, there is a different choice: sheepdog. And, I hasten to add, this does not require having a gun. It is instead about the existential question: Whom do we choose to be? Pre-emptively buying a gun out of fear bleats an inadvertent answer.

Reasons to go vegan
I read the piece “Real men don’t eat meat: Column” and I think it is an amazing representation of the new face of the plant-based revolution.
It is clear that the writer, Robert Atcheson, came from a normal meat-eating background, like most of us, and just never thought otherwise, like most of us. He demonstrates that all it takes is a little education and a different perspective to become aware and then make better choices. He proves to be a great example that anyone can change, even after a lifetime of lateral thinking. Whether for health, environment or animal welfare, veganism is not discussed enough. Thank you for calling attention to it.
