Clinton's lack of judgment vs. Republican witch hunt: Your Say

David Petraeus “knowingly” compromised classified information, unlike Hillary Clinton, a recent column argued. Letter to the editor:

Regarding the piece “Clinton is no David Petraeus” by Anne Tompkins, truer words could not have been written (Opinion, Monday). Yes, Petraeus kept classified notes in personal journals. Yes, Petraeus gave these journals to his biographer. Petraeus did all of this knowingly.

In the case of Hillary Clinton, however, though she inadvertently might have stored classified materials on her personal server, it was all just a mistake. She didn’t know it was wrong. It is correct that Clinton is no Petraeus. As opposed to him, she is as dumb as a stick and certainly not presidential material! Wake up, people.

Hillary Clinton committed no crime. Fine. I still don’t trust her or her ability to make decisions that will help Americans.

None of the information on Clinton’s email server that has surfaced so far was classified when it was sent or received, the State Department has said. Everyone is presumed innocent until proved otherwise. The GOP knows this. The focus on the server is the last hope of many Republicans to stop the first woman from holding the highest office in the land.

There wouldn’t be an issue over this if Clinton weren’t running for president. Republicans are desperate enough to throw garbage at her. None of them can do a better job than her.
