The East Coast is bracing itself for Hurricane Joaquin, a Category 4 storm which has hit the Bahamas and may pound states like Maryland, New Jersey and Virginia. Those states are also bracing for heavy rains and floods from another system, according to Paste BN reports.
So while the East Coast gets hit with heavy rain, what's happening in drought-stricken California? Not much, except more high temperatures and, well, drought.
