Donald Trump draws passionate support, opposition: Your Say
Letters to the editor:
It was beyond amusing to read Paste BN’s editorial “Trump’s indecent presidential campaign.” The part about Sen. John McCain correcting a woman about Barack Obama being “an Arab” did me in. Suggesting McCain’s decency in that circumstance “was one of the finest moments of his campaign” just goes to show how out of touch Paste BN’s Editorial Board is with reality. McCain lost the election. Obama won! The editorial is political correctness run amok.
It may come as a shock to the board, but the reason Donald Trump is doing so well is because many Americans have had enough of political correctness. Many Americans today are smart enough to realize the politically correct movement is killing the natural competitive nature that made our country the envy of the world. They are craving a leader who tells it like it is. I intend on voting for and supporting the most politically incorrect person who is running for president. It is the most important quality a candidate can possess for me this election cycle. We have become a nation of sissies.

POLICING THE USA: A look at race, justice, media
I faithfully read Paste BN, and most days, you include something about Donald Trump. Of course you would, because according to pollsters, he’s ahead of all the other Republican candidates.
At first, I thought this whole Trump candidacy was a little joke to allow some excitement to brew for the Republican ticket, much like a teaser ad. Now I’m truly frightened. Although I’m an independent Republican, that is a Republican who can vote outside the Republican box, I’m really scared of the choices we have. I cannot bring myself to vote for the Clinton machine.
Does that really leave Trump as my only alternative? How can I vote for someone with no diplomacy skills and an over- inflated ego? How can I put the future of my grandkids into the hands of someone who knows only how to infuriate and insult? No pollster has asked me my opinion as a registered Republican, so here’s my answer: No, please, a thousand times no! Please select a candidate who has some common sense, manners, and some ideas based on intellect and decency.
